Man, oh man, I wish I was as switched on as I am writing this post. I truly wish I googled something like this to guide me through somewhere a little foreign to me because it would’ve saved me MOUNTAINS of stress and a lot of money.
This post is all (if not almost all) of the places and things to visit when you go to Queenstown. You can get lost in the billion dollar views & just plain old sight see, but ticking off the bucket list during it all is 100 times better… trust me!
So after four days of celebrating and with lots of bubbles and food, I’ve put together all the pics and summed up a few of my favourite MUST-SEE spots!
I’mma jump straight into things… how can you go to Queenstown and not try Fergburger? I am such a bandwagon person when it comes to food, I really reaaaaly L-U-V Burgerfuel but this one lives up to the hype for sure. We tripped here brunch time on a Monday to avoid the massive queue’s, not to mention it was snowing so having a burger for lunch rather than dinner wasn’t the worst decision I’ve made. 9/10 from me.
Half a day flew by when we headed to Skyline, Queenstown, jumped on some luges & grabbed a cheeky bite to eat amongst the breathtaking scenes of the entire town.
& although I’ve been to Skyline Rotorua, the views are HONESTLY next to none… & some you cant just pass by because you’ve been on a Gondola or Luge before… feel me? Its truly spectacular > 8/10

We ate out every single night, I mean.. who has time to cook when your on holiday? right? From the three nights we fine dined, my favourite was The Grille by Eichardt’s.
One of Queenstown’s 5 star premier dining destinations, set us back, mmm, a lot.. but with magical views of Lake Wakatipu which was footsteps away from our table, I like to think we got lucky that night…. The Grille serves New Zealand cuisine, on a whole new level (totally up my alley) so definitely something for everyone.
When I saw this boat, I thought ermmm, this is something my parents went on, is it really for us?
& it wasn’t until the thick blanket of snow cancelled our Shotover Jet & Onsen Hot Pool bookings (yep, absolutely guttered) was when we opted to jump on the TSS Earnslaw.
Aside from getting these MAJOR Titanic vibes, this ship on a cold snowy day was so unbelievably magical ~Hot Cocoas from the Promenade Cafe, the steamships very own Pianist that plays sing-along songs, with a viewing deck of the engine room where you can watch the workers shovel coal… just so much to do!
Even though we were probably the youngest on the boat, we had such a great time & were chuffed with ourselves that we chose to jump aboard. 8/10.
On our last night in Queenstown, we had a lighter dinner just to fit in the Cookie Muncher Cookie bar. Now I’ve been a BIG fan of a Hot Cookie time since I was in my pre ‘glo up’ stages, ha! So coming here was a little bit of a give in.
I got the Salted Caramel Flake Shake (Above, left) & Tama got the double Choc Fudge Brownie Shake (right). Both so delicious, yet a lil sickening at the same time (too big, even after a small dins). 7/10.
It’s not too bad of an idea to try tick of as many little towns/cities as you can while in this area. We visited Wanaka, Arrowtown & Cardrona (famous bra fence place), we were planning to have a lil picnic in front of Lake Wanaka, but from the snaps below, you can see that wasn’t happening. Picnic in the car it was ~ SO romantic~

Car Rental: Go Rentals (We got a 4WD, was about $60 per day including Insurance)
Hotel: Whyndam Garden Hotel – The Remarkables (15min drive from town centre, nice and quiet area with shopping centres close by)
Dinner Spots: Bazaar Interactive Marketplace (International Cusine, $80pp, 4.3 stars)
Blue Kanu (Pacifica and Asian Cusine, $50-$80pp, 4.6 stars)
The Grille by Eichardts (New Zealand Cusine, $80-150pp, 5stars)
Even though it’s only my fourth post, I think it’s one of my favs! This place was absolutely breathtaking, packed full of memories from one of the best weeks I’ve had & I’m hanging out to do it all over again.
Everything has been learnt first hand by yours truly and piled together for you to get through everything there is to do in Queenstown.
